The Shack is Back! The Crepe Shack reopens for the 2022 Summer Season on Wednesday, June 1st at 10;00 AM. From June 1st through June 19th, 2022, the Crepe Shack will be open daily from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Beginning on June 20th, The Crepe Shack’s hours will expand to 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Daily.

Mawa McQueen wears many hats. As the proprietor and chef of two popular restaurants in tony Aspen, Colorado, Mawa’s Kitchen and The Crepe Shack, with another location of the creperie on the way, McQueen also owns Mawa’s GrainFreeNola where she produces her own variation of grain-free granola.
Chef and restaurateur Mawa McQueen braved many ups and downs on the way to building several successful businesses in the upscale resort town. Mawa McQueen grew up in an immigrant family in France and was educated at a leading culinary school in Paris, but was only offered dishwasher jobs once she graduated. She made her way to England to work as a nanny so she could learn English and realize her dream of coming to America—a country she saw portrayed on TV as a place where Black people could excel.
